Today's Flag Etiquette for the State of Connecticut

Governor Ned Lamont has issued a directive that U.S. and state flags be lowered to half staff statewide.

The etiquette for flying flags today and for the foreseeable future is as follows:

The United State flag should be flown at half staff.

The state of Connecticut flag should also be flown at half staff.

Governor Ned Lamont has issued a directive that U.S. and state flags be lowered to half staff statewide. This is in recognition and mourning of all those who have lost their lives and been affected by COVID-19.

The flags will remain lowered throughout this emergency.
