Waterbury Call Taker Put on Leave Following Murder Call
A woman was killed and a driver assaulted. Four people were arrested. The call taker was placed on leave after her behavior during the call.

WATERBURY, CT—A civilian 911 call taker was placed on administrative leave following the emergency call made regarding the murder of a Chinese restaurant delivery woman.
Complaint clerk Nicole Scarino took the call and there was a language barrier between her and the delivery driver who had been assaulted, according to the Republican-American.
Anthony Wright, 19, along with two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old were charged with felony murder, first degree robbery and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery,according to the Hartford Courant.

Scarino at one point asked what the make and model of the car that shooters fled in and the victim said a dark blue Nissan Altima. Later in the call it's established that is the driver's vehicle and that the assailants came from behind a house.
"The officer's are there you mind as well talk to them now, I'm sorry." she said at the end of the call.

She shouted and sighed at points during the call.
Deputy Chief Fernando Spagnolo said the department isn't proud of how the call was handled, according to the Hartford Courant.
Scarino has worked for Waterbury for seven years.
