Waterbury Police Sergeant Arrested On Interfering, Computer Crime Charges
An internal affairs probe is now underway, according to Waterbury police.
WATERBURY, CT — State police arrested a city police sergeant Thursday on interfering and computer crime-related charges.
Sgt. Donald Robinson was charged on a warrant with interfering with an investigation and fifth-degree computer crimes, according to Waterbury police.
Waterbury Sgt. Joseph Morais said the arrest followed an investigation by the state police’s Eastern District Major Crime Squad.

Waterbury police learned about the arrest on Thursday, and the department put Robinson on administrative leave, according to Morais.
Waterbury’s police department has launched an internal affairs investigation, and it is cooperating with the state police, Morais said.

Robinson is free on a promise to appear in court.
