Waterbury Resident Wins CT Lottery Prize

The winning scratch-off ticket was sold in Middlebury, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

WATERBURY, CT — An unnamed Waterbury resident is $825,000 richer after claiming a winning lottery scratch-off ticket this week the person purchased in Middlebury, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The lucky winner, whose identity was not disclosed by the lottery, won the money playing the "Millionaire" game. The winning ticket was purchased at International Wine & Liquor on Straits Turnpike in Middlebury.

The $10 scratch off game, which only has one grand prize left of $1 million, is ending soon, according to the lottery. Its overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.43.
