World Premiere Workshop – IDIO(ma)TIC – March 28 at The Press Box Theatre
This March 28 presentation will be the first public workshop of the piece — a rare opportunity to experience a new play.
We are thrilled to announce that The Press Box Theater will host the World Premiere Workshop of IDIO(ma)TIC on March 28 — and tickets are now on sale.
This bold new play is written by John Cariani — Tony Award–nominated actor and playwright of Almost, Maine, one of the most produced plays in America — alongside Grammy Award–nominated producer Tor Hyams and Broadway veteran Lisa St. Lou, known for her work in The Producers.
The workshop will be directed by Carol Ziske.
In IDIO(ma)TIC, familiar idioms leap off the page and into real life — characters fall in love at “first site,” find themselves “beside themselves,” and experience language taken quite literally. The play blends sharp comedy with deeper insight, exploring how the phrases we casually use shape the way we think and love.
This March 28 presentation will be the first public workshop of the piece — a rare opportunity to experience a new play at the very beginning of its journey.
