Riverwalk Pavilion, Washington, CT The Washington Lions Club hosts its 19th annual Car-B-Que car show, featuring great food, music, and cars - including the Monkeemobile, the modified Pontiac GTO that carried the made-for-TV rock band the Monkees in their 1960s television show.
Cars begin arriving on the field at 9:30 a.m.; judging begins at 11 a.m. Admission for show cars is $15.00; public admission is by donation.
Along with classic "best" categories (engine, interior, chrome, and more), there are also special categories such as most likely to be stolen, most likely to get pulled over, and more.
Last year, more than 125 show cars took part, and our food, trophies, music, and raffle items were enjoyed by all!Where the proceeds go
The event benefits the Washington Ambulance Corp, the Shepaug High School Scholarship Fund, and other Lions Club charities. Last year, proceeds helped provide free vision screening for school children in area towns through the KidsSight program.
