3 Unlocked Vehicles Stolen In New Canaan: Police
P0lice said all three vehicles were left unlocked and the keys were inside.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A 2020 Audi A8, a 2020 Mercedes Benz GLS and a 2021 Lexus RX350 were reported stolen from homes in New Canaan over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, according to police.
In a news release, Chief of Police Leon Krolikowski said the Audi and Mercedes Benz were reported stolen from a home on Carter Street.
The owners told police they were attending a barbecue at a home on Carter Street, and both cars were parked in the driveway of the home where the barbecue was being held. Both vehicles were left unlocked with the keys inside, Krolikowski said.

One of the stolen vehicles contained lacrosse equipment and a wallet containing a driver's license and credit cards. The Audi was found in Meriden early Monday morning, Krolikowski said.
The Lexus was reported stolen from a home on Canoe Hill Road. According to Krolikowski, the vehicle was left unlocked and the keys were inside.

Additionally, officers were called to a home on Hoyt Farm Road on Monday to investigate a report of a suspicious person on the property. According to Krolikowski, police believe the suspect intended to steal a vehicle but was scared away when he saw a video camera.
"Please remember to always lock your vehicles and take the keys with you," Krolikowski said in a news release. "Secure valuables. Never leave valuables in your vehicle. Often, identity theft occurs when drivers' licenses and credit cards are stolen."
