Do you have a hardly-used, nearly new prom dress and matching shoes taking up space in your closet? A beautiful bridesmaid dress you only wore once? Bar/bat mitzvah attire that you no longer have a use for? St. Luke's senior Allison Frattaroli has a (temporary) home for them. Read about how a group of St. Luke's students, led by this thoughtful senior, and together with Kids Helping Kids started Prom Drive, a donation drive during prom season to stock the racks in the Handled With Care Boutique. Also a philanthropic startup, Handled With Care is a shop Allison and her team of friends set up in Stamford's Yerwood Center to provide a dignified shopping experience for the Yerwood Center community and beyond.
You can help by Allison make the special occasion of prom a possibility for many Fairfield County girls in need by donating any gently-used formal wear at several nearby locations. Click here to read the full story and find out where you can drop off any donations.
