Alleged Counterfeiter Arrested in New Canaan
The man is accused of using fake bills to buy gift cards at Walgreens.
A New Jersey man was arrested by New Canaan Police after he allegedly used counterfeit bills to purchase gift cards at Walgreens in May.
The incident happened on May 9 according to police. New Canaan Police got a break in their case when Michael Labeach, 26, and others were arrested by Newtown Police during a strikingly similar incident. Three people were arrested in May by Newtown Police and more than $8,000 in counterfeit bills was recovered.
