"Crowther did not threaten to harm a specific staff member; rather he threatened to harm 'someone' at the facility by shooting them with a gun," wrote New Canaan police in a statement.
He was initially held in New Canaan in lieu of a $75,000 bond, but he eventually posted it on Aug. 5 and was released. He is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Aug. 15.
