Another Rash of Car Burglaries Hits New Canaan

New Canaan Police are asking, pleading that residents lock vehicles and keep valuables either out of vehicles or stored away safely.
A number of thefts from vehicles have occurred recently in town.

A Studio Road man reported that his wallet containing a train ticket and $40 in cash was taken from his unlocked car. The incident was reported July 27.
A female resident said her purse was stolen along with $500 and credit cards from her parked unlocked vehicle on Old Stamford Road. The theft happened sometime between 10 p.m. July 26 and 10:30 a.m. July 27.

Another Stamford Road resident also reported on July 27 that items were taken. A $800 laptop was taken between 4:30 p.m. July 26 and 8:50 a.m. July 27.
