Assault Lands Woman in Hospital: New Canaan PD
A New Canaan woman was criminally charged.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A victim sustained a laceration after being struck with a wooden candle holder Saturday night.
Police responded to a Canoe Hill Road residence around 10:35 p.m. and found the victim very shaken and suffering from a laceration to her head, police said.
The victim told police that Elizabeth Skae, 24, had struck her after she couldn't find her wallet. She had accused the victim of taking it, police said.

The victim was taken to Stamford Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Skae was charged with first-degree assault and disorderly conduct and was held on a $20,000 bond.
