The autumnal announcement started making the rounds over the weekend — Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte will hit the menus early this year, on August 25.
This knowledge came from The Real Pumpkin Spice Latte’s Twitter account, courtesy of this tweet:
“18 days until I’m back from vacay. Get ready to ‘fall’ in love all over again. #seewhatididthere.”

But it won’t be as simple as sallying up to the counter and placing an order. Here’s how to get early access to the drink.
If you’re not following Pumpkin Spice Latte on Twitter, you might want to start. According to NBC News, an Internet scavenger hunt will become available to customers and somehow, those folks will have early access to the beloved fall favorite.

The Real Pumpkin Spice Latte isn’t giving out specifics yet. Instead, this mysterious message was posted on Twitter:
“My #spotthespice game is kicking off next week. Get the deets here and let’s get me on the menu early!”
No word yet on when Dunkin’ Donuts is releasing its pumpkin spice flavor, but we’re told it’s right around the corner.
