It's Important to Support Local Farmers
Don't let a little rain scare you away from the Farmers Market

An admittedly self serving topic, I am appealing to New Canaan to support the going into the fall season.
Traditionally two things are happening right now.
- Some of the best produce of the season is available.
- The patronage at the market begins to drop off due to the perception that if the weather is less than good, the produce is less than good.
This is when your producers need you the most, when they are trying to build up reserves for winter, market their long season produce, and make contacts for direct marketing in the off season.

There are that can be obtained, providing direct delivery of all manner of CT grown products on non market days and sometimes in the off season.
Market is less crowded, the vendors are happy to see you, and I guarantee there are deals to be had when Saturday turns out rainy and cool.

What else are you going to do? Become a couch potato? Instead, come out and buy a potato and a lot of other fine fresh produce, then go home and hole up while you cook some comfort food. Is there anything cozier than that?
GET OUT THE SLICKER AND COME SEE US TODAY (AND SATURDAYS UNTIL NOV. 19) ....WE'LL BE THERE AND WE HOPE YOU WILL TOO!!
