NEW CANAAN, CT — Some rambunctious cats accidentally started a fire early Wednesday in a Hoyt Street home, according to fire officials.
The cats climbed onto a propane kitchen stove, turning it on and igniting nearby combustibles, reports the New Canaan Advertiser.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, which was contained in a wall in the kitchen, but the homeowners required treatment for minor smoke inhalation.
