Connecticut Among Nation's Safest States: 2018 Report
The folks at WalletHub crunched the data and came up with a ranking of the safest states in America. Connecticut is among them.

Over the last several years, though some statistics might point to lower crime rates, it just doesn't feel as safe as it used to. Whether its the mass shootings, the terrorist attacks, the opioid crisis spiking petty crime rates in some communities, sleeping well at night can feel like a chore with all the anxiety in the air.
The personal finance website WalletHub studied the issue of safety and came up with a ranking of 2018's Safest States in America, and Vermont topped the list.
"Safety is a basic human need," writes author Adam McCann. "We require some form of it, such as personal and financial protection, in every part of daily life. But we’re likely to feel more secure in some states than in others."
