“On behalf of Connecticut Realtors, we’re pleased to relay that our association voted to endorse your candidacy for Senate district 26. We carefully evaluate candidates in determining who may best ensure there is a positive environment for living in or transferring property in Connecticut. Real estate is essential to economic recovery and stability in the state and the nation, and helps to build communities. Thank you for your commitment to serve.”

On receiving the endorsement, Senator Boucher remarked, “I’m truly pleased to receive this recognition from Connecticut Realtors. Our realtors are the sales and marketing team for Connecticut. They know what attracts people to our state. Their job has been made more difficult by Connecticut’s high cost of living and pension and inheritance taxes. I firmly believe that in order to restore Connecticut to the thriving state that attracted so many of us here, we must reduce taxes and government spending, which have placed such a burden on our families and businesses. People want to be able to afford to live and work in Connecticut – to own or rent a home, raise a family, run a business and retire here. I’m committed to fight for lower taxes on real estate as well as businesses, cars, gas, pensions and inheritance and to spend strategically on transportation and education.”
