‘Dangerously High Heat and Humidity’ Forecast for CT Monday
The National Weather Service has issued a "Heat Advisory" for most of Connecticut. We'll let you know how hot it's expected to get.

Today is Sunday but that isn’t stopping the National Weather Service from sending what it calls an “urgent” message for Monday’s weather already for significant parts of Connecticut.
The intro to the advisory is very brief, “Dangerously high heat and humidity on tap for Monday.”
Already, a Heat Advisory has been issued for most of Connecticut between 11 a.m. to 6 a.m. Monday.
A Heat Advisory has not yet been issued for Tolland County, but temps are forecast to be around 90 degrees there with significant humidity too.

In the Heat Advisory for the rest of Connecticut, the National Weather Service writes, “up to 101 (heat index value) due to temperatures in the low to mid 90s and dewpoints in the lower 70s.” The worst of it is on Monday afternoon.
The impacts include: the combination of the heat and humidity will increase the risk for heat related health issues...especially for the elderly...those with chronic health problems such as lung and heart diseases...those working outdoors….and other heat sensitive groups of people, the National Weather Service states.

The National Weather Service says a heat advisory is issued when it will feel like 100 to 104 degrees for two consecutive hours.

Tips to reduce any issues from the extreme heat include: if you do work outside take frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned areas.
Oh and today is Sunday, and it’s not exactly like it’s going to be chilly today. Yes, there is no Heat Advisory for Sunday, but we’re still looking at temps in Connecticut in the upper 80s to low 90s.
Also just sunny skies for Sunday, no chance of rain or storms. On Monday, there is a less than 50 percent chances of some showers and thunderstorms possible to accompany this extreme heat.
After a chance of some showers on Monday, there is no rain in the forecast for the state until a slim chance of more storms on Friday.
