New Canaan Road Closure Expected To Last Into Evening: Update
The incident occurred Monday afternoon, May 22.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Old Stamford Road in New Canaan, between Lapham and Jelliff Mill roads, was closed Monday afternoon, May 22, due to a fallen tree and downed wires, according to police.
The road was closed at about 1:15 p.m. and was still closed at 4:55 p.m. According to New Canaan Police Lt. Jason Ferraro, the road would remain closed until further notice, which could be well into the night.
Utility company Eversource did not report any power outages in New Canaan on Monday.
