Dr. Alvarez: Pet Obesity

Village Critter Outfitter invites new and prospective pet owners to a discussion about pet obesity with Dr. Janette Alvarez as a part of its Pet Wellness Month series on Oct. 22 at 6:00 PM. Topics will include ways to prevent pet obesity and well as ways to control and shed pet weight.

Dr. Alvarez is the owner and sole veterinarian at Animal Wellness Veterinary Center in Norwalk, CT. Shirleen Dubuque, owner of Village Critter Outfitter, said “It’s a pleasure to be working with such a highly recommended veterinarian in our community. The animals really respond so well to her and her knowledge of knowing what’s beneficial for them is phenomenal.”

Dr. Alvarez has been practicing veterinary medicine in Fairfield County for the past 19 years and opened Animal Wellness Veterinary Center in 2011 to provide a variety of wellness exams, specialized testings, natural and holistic care, surgery and hospitalization. She also provides house calls, outpatient care and many other services based on your pet's needs.
