Driver Seriously Injured In 1-Car New Canaan Crash: Police
The incident occurred Wednesday night.
NEW CANAAN, CT — A Wilton man suffered serious injuries Wednesday evening in a one-car crash near North Wilton and Cross Ridge roads in New Canaan, according to police.
The crash, in which the car slammed in to a tree, occurred just before 7 p.m.
"Upon arrival, officers observed the crashed vehicle on fire," wrote New Canaan police in a statement. "The driver was taken out of the vehicle by a Good Samaritan."

The driver was the only occupant, and he was transported to Norwalk Hospital for treatment. His current condition was not disclosed.

The New Canaan Police Department Crash Reconstruction Team is currently investigating this crash, with assistance from the Wilton Police Department.
