Drug Paraphernalia Found In Vehicle That Ran A Stop Sign: New Canaan Cops
The incident occurred on Ponus Ridge Road.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A marijuana pipe, rolling papers and a glass jar with pot residue inside were discovered in the car of a 21-year-old Stamford woman Monday night, June 26, after she allegedly ran a stop sign on Ponus Ridge Road in New Canaan, according to police.
An officer saw Clarissa Irizarry, of Madison Place, allegedly run the stop sign at the intersection of Jelliff Mill Road and pulled her over just before 10 p.m.
"Upon approaching the occupied vehicle and speaking with Irizarry (the operator) the officer observed in plain view a clear glass jar with a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the jar," wrote police in a statement. "A subsequent investigation resulted in the discovery of a pipe used to smoke marijuana and rolling papers."

Irizarry was issued an infraction for possession of drug paraphernalia and released.
