Celebrate World Down Syndrome Day

Celebrate World Down Syndrome Day at the New Canaan YMCA on Sunday, March 18 from 2:00 to 4:00.

World Down Syndrome Day is observed internationally on March 21 to promote awareness and understanding of Down syndrome.

The New Canaan YMCA is hosting World Down Syndrome Day on March 18 in support of 21 Strong, a group of families in Fairfield County who came together because Down syndrome has enriched their lives.

Activities, for children of all ages, include sports, such as basketball, floor hockey and ping-pong, Bouncing Bears gymnastics, carnival sports games, arts and crafts and Wii games. Ms. Janine, who combines music with sign language, will also lead children in singing and signing fun.

Admission and all activities are free.
