The New Canaan Library and Connecticut Challenge have arranged a special presentation by Carolyn Taylor: Without Borders - the International Face of Cancer (Photographs and Stories of Cancer Survivors from Around the World).
Carolyn Taylor was recently featured on the cover of one of the local New Canaan newspapers, and last month she presented her story to a spellbound and inspired audience at the Fairfield Library. With so many people in the area that have been touched by cancer, the Connecticut Challenge has arranged for Carolyn to come to New Canaan so that more people could hear her inspirational story.
Carolyn was an accomplished photographer in the middle of her career when she was diagnosed with ovarian and endometrial cancers in 2006. Inspired by her own ordeal and the experiences of other cancer survivors, Carolyn won a grant from British Airways to photograph people living with cancer around the globe. Working with the World Health Organization and International Union against Cancer, her goal with this project is to show how all people living with cancer are intrinsically linked.
