St. Mark’s will hold its 62nd annual May Fair and Strawberry Festival on Saturday, May 7th from 9 am to 7 pm. The fair offers something for everyone: carnival rides and midway games; a food court (grilled chicken and corn, smoked brisket and BBQ, pizza, burgers, hot dogs, sodas, lemonade, ice cream and our famous strawberry shortcake); a vast collection of books, CDs and DVDs; and a tent selling plants and flowers. A main attraction is "The Mother of All Tag Sales." Thousands of lovely furnishings from hundreds of New Canaan homes are arranged on two floors of the parish hall: furniture (adult and baby), rugs, china, crystal, art, collectibles, jewelry, lamps, appliances, kitchenware, linens, computers, office supplies, toys, games, sporting goods, exercise equipment and lawn furniture. Selling hours for the White Elephant are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A shuttle bus will make continuous loops from the commuter parking lot on Elm Street (near the train station, across from Walter Stewart’s Market) to the St. Mark’s campus from 8:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
