The New Canaan Flag Football League begins their season on Saturday (9/8) morning on the on the synthetic turf field by the Waveny Water Tower.
Started in 1996, the "NFL" FLAG Football Program is a outreach program sponsored by the National Football League.
Every Saturday starting at 8:00 AM, 18 teams compete throughout the season to see who will be season champs in late November.
With 180 players ranging from 9-14 years old the NFL Flag program provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact, continuous action while learning lessons in teamwork.
