New Canaan Softball Evaluations

 REGISTER BEFORE EVALUATION DAY!

If you haven’t registered your player yet, please do so quickly! We need the registration data to estimate the number of coaches needed and order uniforms in plenty of time to have them produced and lettered before the first game. A late fee of $35.00 is charged for each registration made on March 1 or later.

 Evaluations are mandatory. We are committed to team parity so your compliance is essential.

Please note the evaluation timeslots below. The line can be slower at the beginning of each evaluation session, so we suggest you show up a little later during the allotted period to zip right through the process.

 We cannot perform evaluations for your player outside the designated time slot. The commissioners and coaches do change for each division and the criterion are different.

 You must stop by the sign up table with your player to check in and receive an identification badge. Players will be ushered into the gym and parents are not permitted in the gym for safety reasons. You can watch from the bleachers above at St. Luke’s gym.

 Please remind your player that these are not tryouts. Everyone will get on a team. These are evaluations only to obtain an even, controlled measure of the entire division by a group of commissioners and coaches, to ensure parity in team selection. Teams are selected by draft from age 10 and up in baseball.

 If you have not provided us with a birth certificate by mail, please remember to hand it in that day.

 After evaluation, use your player’s badge to pick up a free pair of pants or shorts(softball) exiting the gym.
