Come participate in the 4th annual Stamford KIC IT Triathlon! The Olympic-distance race is open to triathletes and relay teams of all abilities. Participants will brave the Long Island Sound for a .9-mile swim, quickly mount their bikes for a 24.8-mile ride through North Stamford, and then will run through the streets of downtown Stamford to complete the 6.2-mile run. Three hundred area volunteers will support the athletes as they race to raise money for Kids in Crisis and then will enjoy a Family Festival at Columbus Park. With great restaurants, shopping and accommodations just steps from the finish line, the Stamford KIC IT Triathlon has something for both athletes and their families and makes a perfect weekend destination race. All proceeds go to Kids in Crisis, an emergency crisis counseling and residential shelter for infants, children, and teens.
