UConn Extension, in partnership with the New Canaan Conservation Commission, is offering reduced-cost well water testing for residents of Fairfield County and surrounding areas. <a href="https://www.ctpublic.org/news/2024-07-18/rural-towns-in-ct-arent-testing-their-well-water-enough-this-program-is-trying-to-change-that" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Even if your water looks and tastes fine, it may not be safe to drink.</a>
A comprehensive well water test, normally valued at $350, is available for $235 (cash or check). Tests include coliform bacteria, lead, arsenic, uranium, nitrates, sodium, chloride, fluoride, pH, hardness, sulfate, turbidity, iron, and manganese.

The Friends Book Shop at the Ferguson Library will hold its annual Collectible Sale Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 3, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Main Library in Stamford.
The sale will feature a curated selection of collectible and vintage books at great prices, including first &amp; special editions, signed &amp; inscribed copies, leather-bound sets &amp; finely illustrated works and children’s books. The sale will also include art books, modern collectibles, ephemera, comics, vinyls and other treasures.
Prices will start as low as three dollars!
Cash, checks, credit/debit cards and Apple Pay are all accepted.
All proceeds benefit the Ferguson Library’s programs and services.

KEYS programs include one-to-one instrument and group lessons in Bridgeport taught by a faculty of over 30 music educators in 24 Bridgeport schools. Students learn life skills, such as preparation, patience, collaboration, and respect through the discipline of learning music and participation in ensembles.
