Felony-Level Jewelry Theft Leads to Arrest of New Canaan Woman
A New Canaan woman was arrested after she allegedly burglarized a home.

A New Canaan woman is facing felony charges after she allegedly stole numerous pieces of jewelry and watches from a Gerdes Road residence.
A resident reported the theft on Dec. 7, police said. There were no signs of forced entry.

Kyler Cottrell, 29, of New Canaan turned herself in on an active warrant. She was charged with first-degree larceny and third-degree burglary and was held in lieu of $10,000 bail.
First-degree larceny implies that the value of stolen goods was more than $10,000.
