First Selectman Rob Mallozzi to Celebrate Community Day at Halo Studios with Free Classes, Experiences, Testing and Tastes

Halo Studios, the collaborative health and wellness center at 45 Grove Street in New Canaan is showcasing its fitness classes, wellness offerings and diagnostic testing with a free Community Day this Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 10:00AM to 2:00PM. Everyone is welcome to come see the facility and those who wish to participate may register in person in advance or on Saturday on a first come, first serve basis. First Selectman Rob Mallozzi will be on hand to celebrate elevating health and wellness as a community.

“Halo Studios is an exciting addition to New Canaan in that it brings together several independent local businesses under one roof that share a passion for health,” says Mallozzi.

According to Peter Lane, president of Halo Studios, “This is the first of many events to showcase how our experts can improve the individual and collective health of our community. We truly have something for everyone, so please bring your friends and family to take advantage of our free Community Day.”

Fitness enthusiasts of all abilities can choose to participate in complimentary Belles and Barres, Intro to BioCored, circuit training, Pilates mat, family yoga, crossfit style workout, The Ernest Way, 30-Minute Power, Yoga for Beginners, Gyro/Pilates, Zumba and The MELT Method.

Those interested in exploring the latest wellness modalities can sample free guided self hypnosis, BioMat with massage, chair massage, aromatherapy sampling, meditation, crystal healing, sound healing, chakra balancing, craniosacral therapy and Reiki.

Wellness assessments, hearing tests, blood pressure monitoring, postural screening and food panel testing will be round out the health-oriented offerings. There will also be samples from the Grass Rxoots 100% organic menu and Kangen ionized water. In addition, the first fifty participants will receive a special gift.

Halo will showcase its partnerships with community organizations such as Tele-Health Wellness Pioneers, Getabout and Staying Put in New Canaan in the lobby. Together, we will promote healthy initiatives that improve the quality of life for residents of the greater New Canaan community.
