Funding Source Needed for Rt. 123/Locust Intersection Project
The state will only pay a couple hundred dollars of the estimated $33,000 to $35,000 proposed project.

There is a plan that could alleviate the danger near the Route 123/Locust Ave. intersection, but there is a question of how to pay for it.
The state Department of Transportation said it would only pay for crosswalk striping, which is about $250 of an estimated $33,000 to $35,000 proposed project, according to the New Canaanite.
Proposals call for new push-button signals, sidewalks, crosswalks and pedestrian ramps.
