GoFundMe Started to Help Pay for New Canaan Baby's Funeral

A GoFundMe started to help pay for funeral and other expenses after 2-month-old Bella Redondo passed away. The death was ruled a homicide.

A GoFundMe was created to help pay for funeral expenses for the Redondo family in New Canaan after 2-month-old Bella Redondo died in a homicide.

"This campaign is dedicated to assist them with funeral expenses and lost wages from time missed from work," wrote GoFundMe organizer Becky DaMenace. "The Redondo family would like to take Bella back to her father's home town and bury her with her grandmother in Florida."

So far nearly $11,000 of the $15,000 goal has been raised as of Monday morning.

Bella Redondo was rushed to the hospital by ambulance around 3:40 p.m. July 13 from the Little Bears Beginnings Daycare in Stamford with signs of head trauma. She passed away shortly before 6:30 p.m.

Her death was ruled a homicide by the Office of the State Medical Examiner.
