Health Caregiver Accused Of Ripping Off New Canaan Client: Police
The suspect allegedly forged checks and credit card purchases.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A 33-year-old Bronx, NY woman was arrested on larceny and forgery charges last week in connection with the alleged theft of nearly $3,000 from the New Canaan client for whom she provided health care services, according to New Canaan police.
Ramatu Al-hassan, who was a health care worker, stands accused of forging several of the client's checks totaling $2,000 and forging nearly $900 in unauthorized credit card purchases.
The thefts allegedly occurred in August 2016, and Al-hassan was picked up by Stamford police last week on separate charges and turned over to New Canaan police on Sept. 15.

Al-hassan was charged by New Canaan with fourth-degree larceny, second-degree forgery and using a revoked credit card. She was held in lieu of a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Sept. 27.
