Honor Your New Canaan Paddle Tennis Reservation, Or Else

Some New Canaan paddle tennis aren't showing up for their reserved court time, according to Parks & Rec.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The town's Parks and Recreation Department is warning New Canaan paddle tennis players that they better honor their court reservations or face penalties, reports the New Canaan Advertiser.

Despite strong demand for playing time on the town's four courts, some of them go unused even though they've been reserved. Such action has prompted the penalties, which include not being able to reserve a court for a couple days to revocation of a resident's permit.

The department is seeking funds for a fifth court in order to meet the demand, which is expected to cost just over $100,000. Players are hoping to raise $30,000 of that cost in hopes that the town will pay the rest.
