• Man, 60, Charged with DUI After Crash (newcanaanite.com) — Police say a 60-year-old Westport man was arrested for DUI after allegedly running a red light at Silvermine Road and causing a two-car crash at East Avenue and Route 123 in New Canaan late Aug. 6. Officers reported a strong odor of alcohol and breath tests more than twice the legal limit; the driver faces court on Aug. 21.
