The inaugural George E. Stevens Visionary Award was also introduced at this celebratory event. The award honors a Horizons at NCCS supporter who has contributed to the realization of the vision of the founder of Horizons, George E. Stevens, through significant investment and an unparalleled commitment. This award was presented to the Lone Pine Foundation, Inc. and The Serenbetz Family Foundation.

“The Lone Pine Foundation, Inc. has been partnering with Horizons at NCCS since 2002 to ensure that all aspects of their operations are strong and sustainable. We are proud of the fact that in recent years we were able to provide additional support enabling the staff to attend national conferences, update technology and support the strategic planning effort that will carry the organization into the future,” said Lucy Ball, Executive Director of the Lone Pine Foundation, Inc.
