Identity Sought: Woman Dropped Injured Cat at New Canaan Vet
Police want to identify a woman who dropped the cat off at a local vet after she gave a story that doesn't add up.

NEW CANAAN, CT- A local woman dropped off an injured cat at a local veterinarian and police are seeking information about how the injury occurred.
The adult male cat was dropped off at New Canaan Veterinary Hospital with a large gaping wound, according to the New Canaanite.

The woman left the cat and said it was injured at Smith Ridge Road and Cherry Street, which don't intersect. She gave a name and phone number that doesn't work.
Police are investigating to see if the drop off constitutes criminal abandonment. Anyone with information can call Animal Control at 203-594-3510.
