DARIEN, CT — Police said jewelry was stolen during an Oct. 15 burglary at a Chasmars Pond Roadhome.

In a news release, Police Sgt. Dan Skoumbros said residents of the home told officers they were out of town for a week and returned home to discover their second floor bedrooms had been rifled through and a second story window had been smashed.

Officers also found a second floor window screen had been cut and the window had been smashed to gain entry to the home. They then determined a gas grill had been pushed against the house to access the roof, Skoumbros said.
