Jewelry Stolen During New Canaan Burglary

Residents of a Gerdes Road residence reported that several pieces of jewelry were missing after a burglary Dec. 21.

The burglary happened sometime between 10:10 a.m. and 5:39 p.m. when homeowners were away, police said.

The garage door was partially opened and the dead bolt to the back and front doors weren’t secured, the residents said. The doors are typically secured.

The value of the missing items isn’t known at this time and the incident remains under investigation by the detective bureau.
