And his buddy, also from New Canaan, was charged with marijuana possession.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A 19-year-old New Canaan man shoplifted a $5 fidget cube from the South Avenue Mobil gas station in New Canaan a little after 3 a.m. on June 11, and despite later returning it, he was charged with larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police.

Andrew White, of East Maple Street, was issued misdemeanor summons for both charges, after police said officers conducted an investigation that identified White as the suspect. Officers found a glass pipe in White's possession.

In addition to White, police also charged New Canaan resident Thomas Chini, also 19, of Smith Ridge Road, with possession of marijuana. Chini, who had a small baggie of marijuana and rolling papers in his possession, was with White at the Mobil station and later at White's house, according to police.
