Magazine Solicitors Fined in Darien and New Canaan
Solicitors from the same company were fined for going door to door in an attempt to sell magazine subscriptions.

Magazine solicitors from the south were fined for violating New Canaan and Darien town ordinances.
In Darien police were dispatched to Long Neck Point around 6:30 p.m. on August 17. A man was going door to door trying to sell the subscriptions. He was told by police that it was against town ordinance and he could be arrested.
The man left the area. Not much later the same officer was dispatched to Pear Tree Point Road and found the same subject attempting to sell subscriptions.

the 27-year-old man from Surprise, AZ was charged with violating town ordinance and was fined $199. He was with Self Starters Inc. out of Florida.
Police in New Canaan had a similar incident on August 18. Police were dispatched to Harrison Avenue and found a man selling magazines door to door. The 23-year-old man from Baker, LA was issued an infraction for soliciting without a permit. He also said he was with Self Starters Inc.
