Man Accused Of Stealing From Patients To Pay Utility Bills: New Canaan PD
The suspect, from Bridgeport, allegedly stole from patients of an unnamed "residential treatment facility located in New Canaan," cops say.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A 29-year-old Bridgeport man, who was formerly employed at an unnamed "residential treatment facility located in New Canaan," has been charged with second-degree identity theft and fourth-degree larceny after he allegedly stole funds patients of the facility, according to police.
Drew A. Eccleston, of Bond Street, surrendered to New Canaan police on Sept. 8 in connection with alleged August thefts from two patients that totaled $2,500.
Details of how he allegedly stole the funds was not disclosed, but according to police he used the money to pay bills from Southern Connecticut Gas. He was additionally charged with fifth-degree larceny.

Eccleston was released on a promise to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Sept. 22.
