Man Charged with 14 New Canaan Car Burglaries

The man was taken into custody in New Jersey and transported back to New Canaan to face charges.

NEW CANAAN, CT- A Newark, N.J. man was charged with 14 New Canaan car burglaries that occurred in 2013, police said.

William Richardson, 21, allegedly committed the burglaries in the overnight hours between Nov. 3 and Nov. 4.

New Canaan officers took custody of Richardson from Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark on May 12 and transported him back to New Canaan for processing.

He is charged with 14 counts of third-degree burglary, credit card theft, illegal use of a credit card and sixth-degree larceny.
