Man Charged with Forgery After New Canaan Stop
The man allegedly had a fake driver's license on him.

NEW CANAAN, CT- A Stamford man was issued a summons after he allegedly handed over a forged driver's license to an officer during a motor vehicle stop.
An officer on patrol observed a vehicle traveling on South Avenue on March 9 around 10:07 p.m. with a defective marker light.

The vehicle was pulled over and operator Miguel Nieto-Valliant, 20, handed over his valid Connecticut license. The officer saw a New Jersey license in his wallet as well. The New Jersey license was determined to be a forgery, police said.
A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a silver marijuana grinder, according to police.

He was issued a summons for third-degree forgery and possession of drug paraphernalia.
