Man in Critical Condition Following Weekend Accident in New Canaan
The man had to be extricated from the vehicle and was eventually airlifted to Yale-New Haven Hospital.
A South Salem, NY man is in critical condition after an accident in New Canaan Sunday.
The accident was reported just after midnight on Route 123 near the North Wilton Road fork, according to police.
A Toyota Prius was traveling northbound toward the state border when it struck the side of the road. It then veered to the left before crashing near a driveway.

The 49-year-old male driver was the only vehicle occupant and had to be extricated using the jaws of life.
He was transported to Norwalk Hospital and then airlifted to Yale-New Haven Hospital.
