Man Threatened New Canaan Victim, Family Via Text Messages, Cops Say

The suspect, a Norwalk resident, is accused of sending multiple texts threatening "harm and death," according to New Canaan police.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A 25-year-old Norwalk man was arrested on a charge of second-degree threatening Friday after he allegedly texted a New Canaan victim "stating harm and death to the victim and family members of the victim," according to New Canaan police.

Kyle Cichowicz, of Wolfpit Avenue, was apprehended by Norwalk police Friday evening on behalf of the New Canaan department.

The complainant showed New Canaan police officers the multiple text messages, and they contacted Norwalk police for assistance. Exactly what was written on the texts was disclosed.

Norwalk police located Cichowicz at his home and turned him over to New Canaan police.

Cichowicz was held in lieu of a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Aug. 14.
