Motor Vehicle Stop Results In Drug Bust For Stamford Man: New Canaan Police
The incident began when the suspect failed to dim the high beams on his car.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A 23-year-old Stamford man was found to be in possession of marijuana and cocaine on Sept. 22 after New Canaan police pulled him over because he failed to dim the high beam headlights on his car.
Arrested just after midnight on charges of sale of certain illegal drugs and possession of less than a half-ounce of cannabis was Joao P. Oliveira, of Leroy Place.
According to New Canaan police, an officer was driving by Oliveira on Cherry Street when Oliveira failed to dim his high beams. The officer pulled him over and also discovered that the license plate on Oliveira's 2002 Audi actually belonged to a 1997 Ford.
