Naked Man Spotted In New Canaan Standing Outside Of Parked Car: Cops

The incident occurred on Friday afternoon, May 19.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A 65-year-old South Salem, NY man was issued a misdemeanor summons for second-degree breach of peace on May 19 after he was allegedly seen naked standing outside of his vehicle on Lapham Road in New Canaan, according to police.

Officers were called to the scene at about 4:30 p.m. and found the man sitting in his vehicle "with shirt and shorts draped over him and not wearing any underpants.

"A subsequent investigation determined that [the suspect] had been outside of his vehicle fully naked and 2 individuals observed this and contacted New Canaan Police," wrote police in a statement, adding that the man claimed he had a medical reason for being naked.

He was released on a promise to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on June 2.
