NEW CANAAN, CT — A $25 million natural gas project in New Canaan is underway, utility company Eversource announced Wednesday. The company also has launched a similar but separate gas project in Darien.
Initially, the New Canaan expansion will involve the installation of 4.7 miles of underground pipeline, "making the efficient and environmentally-friendly fuel available to over 500 homes and businesses."
The first phase should be completed before the end of 2018, but overall the project is expected to take about three years to complete.
